Tack Stall Splits

ShowPro has a great tool to help you with tack stall splits...

Tack Stall Splits Dialog

The above shows the trainer with 4/1 tack stalls which is four stalls as any number over one is the same value as the number. The trainer stalls is expressed as a fraction in case the trainer will participate in the split also for some reason. The split is automatically set to the most likely split. But in this case we have a show scratch that it so happens will not be participating in the tack stall split, so we will set our split to 4 / 9 (four stall divided amongst 9 entries) ...

Tack Stall Split Dialog With Split

And now we click the Apply button.

Tack Stall Split Dialog Mixed Number

But now we have a non whole number for the trainer that is almost certainly incorrect and that we want to avoid, but it's because we need to remove our show scratch from the split...

Tack Stall Splits Dialog Done

Now we have our whole number of tack stalls and a correct split...

Tack Split on Entry

And now the tack stall split will be reflected properly on all the entries.

If you follow these methods you will never have to worry about having fractions of stalls on your stall reports, you will always have whole numbers!

Note: Horse stalls are available here for reference and to help you catch a possible mistake, they play no role in the tack stall split.

Tack Splits Dialog Add Entry Button

You can add any entry to the tack split from another trainer by typing in the back number and clicking the Add Entry button.

Tack Splits Dialog Remove Entry Button

Entries that have been added can be removed by selecting them from the drop down and then clicking Remove Entry.
