Setting the Network Path

You must set the Network Path on the client computers. You do not have to do anything special in ShowPro on the host computer. ShowPro will operate on the host computer in local mode.

Clicking the Networking button on the Start Screen displays the dialog box that enables you to very easily set or clear the network path on the client computers.

Set ShowPro Networking Path

This dialog provides access to whatever network drives and networked computers are available on the host computer. The ShowPro folder has been shared on the host computer and is thus available here. The ShowPro folder is the folder that should be shared on the host but it is the ShowData folder within the ShowPro folder that we must point out ShowPro clients at.

The Shared ShowData Folder

To the left the ShowPro folder has been expanded and the ShowData folder has been selected by single clicking on it.

Once the ShowData folder is selected click the Set Remote Folder button to complete the setting of the network path.

Your ShowPro on this computer is now configured to operate as a client and a message similar to the one below will be displayed. A message like this will also appear each time you run ShowPro if you are not operating in local mode. This is just to serve as a reminder of the special circumstances you are operating under.

ShowPro Will Share Files At

If your computer is set up to share files on a remote host computer and those files cannot be accessed, when you start ShowPro you will see a message like this...
